TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- Agreement to Terms and Condition
1.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally-binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (you) and UK Educators Community Ltd T/A Social Impact Retreats (referred to in these terms as “Social Impact Retreats” – the words “we”, “us”, “our” and similar words also refer to “Social Impact Retreats”), concerning your access to and use of the website (https://www.ukeducators.com) as well as any Retreat purchased from Social Impact Retreats.
1.2 You agree that by accessing the UK Educators website and/or attending a Retreat, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Because we can change these Terms and Conditions from time to time, we do recommend that you print off a copy and keep them safe. The updated version of these Terms and Conditions will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms and Conditions to stay informed of updates.
1.4 We want and expect you to be delighted with any Retreat purchased from Social Impact Retreats. If you have any complaints, please email us at retreat@ukeducators.com and give us the chance to investigate and, if relevant, try to put things right for you.
1.5 When you purchase a Retreat from Social Impact Retreats, you provide personal details and consent for Social Impact Retreats to use these details to book hotels and excursions. We will only provide details to third parties as and when it is necessary to fulfill our duty in booking the details of the Retreat.
1.6 You agree that communicating with you by email, text message, notices on our Website or other text-based electronic methods counts as communicating with you in writing.
1.7 If any part of our contract with you is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of that contract are unaffected and will remain in force.
1.8 Any contract we form with you is personal to you. You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under that contract.
1.9 Nobody apart from us and the buyer of a Retreat has any rights under this contract
2. Eligibility, Exclusions & Liability
2.1 To be eligible to purchase and/ or attend a Retreat from Social Impact Retreats you must be 18 years of age or over.
2.2 If you are booking a Retreat from Social Impact Retreats, you must:
2.2.1 Provide your full name, phone number, email address, and other requested information as specified
2.2.2 Secure the booking by paying the deposit via the website link provided. Please note the deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your place
2.2.3 Accept these terms and conditions
2.3 We may decline your booking request for any reason. We are not obligated to explain the reason for declining your booking.
2.3.1 If Social Impact Retreats declines your booking, we will refund your deposit
2.3.2 If the reason for declining your booking request is because we cannot obtain authorisation of your payment details for any reason, then we may invite you to pay by another method.
2.4 We will not be responsible or liable for:
2.4.1 Any losses related to any business of yours, including loss of data, profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or business interruption; or
2.4.2 Any losses which were not something we could have reasonably expected (as consequences of us doing anything wrong under our contract with you) when entering into that contract.
2.5 We will not be in breach of our obligations under our contract with you if we are prevented or delayed from complying with those obligations by:
2.5.1 Anything you (or anyone acting on your behalf) does or fails to do; or
2.5.2 Events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including fire, flood, extreme weather, bio-emergencies, strikes, trade disputes, lock-downs, restrictions of imports or exports, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war)
3. Cooling-off Period
3.1 You will be entitled to a 14 day cooling off period during which time you can cancel this agreement and receive a full refund of the fee paid by emailing us at retreat@ukeducators.com.
3.2 Your 14-day cooling off period begins from the date you made the first payment.
4. Your agreement
4.1 You agree to ensure all payments are made in full by the date specified for the specific Retreat you wish to attend.
4.2 We may refuse you entry to a Retreat if you are late
4.3 We will be entitled to require you to leave a Retreat if in our reasonable opinion you behave in an unacceptable manner or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Our decision will be final. Under these circumstances you will not be entitled to any refund.
4.4 You are advised not to bring any items of special or high value onto our Retreats. We do not accept responsibility for damage to or the loss of any personal possessions.
4.5 Any resale of or attempt to resell a place will result in your booking for the place(s) being cancelled without notice.
4.6 You agree and acknowledge that:
4.6.1 An age restriction of 18 years and above apply for all Retreats.
4.6.2 You will make yourself familiar with the laws and regulations of the country you will be visiting. We can not be held liable for any laws you break whilst on the retreat.
5. Our Rights to Cancel or Reschedule
5.1 We may cancel any Retreat due to events or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We may also cancel the retreat if we feel our presence may contribute or increase the risk of health & safety to locals. For example, if we fear Covid may endanger the locals. We may cancel without an official lockdown or travel restrictions. Cancellations would be at the discretion of Social Impact Retreats
5.2 Although it is rare for us to do so, we may also reschedule any Retreat at any time. We may also change the location or content of any Retreat and/or substitute the instructor (s) for a Retreat for another at any time.
5.3 If we do cancel, reschedule or make any changes as described in clauses 5.1 and 5.2 above, we will notify you by telephone or by email and will endeavour to do so as soon as possible after making those changes.
5.4 We will refund you the price of a Retreat you have booked or, if applicable, the affected part of it (for example, the cancelled day, or the place for the person no longer able to attend) if:
5.4.1 We cancel all or part of the Retreat in accordance with clause 5.1 or, because a change to content of the Retreat under clause 5.2 means that we are no longer able to accommodate your dietary requirements;
5.4.2 You have informed us at the time of booking of your special dietary or other requirements, but we have not notified you that the Retreat you would like to book, is not actually suited to your and/or your attendees’ dietary or other requirements;
5.4.3 We reschedule or relocate all or part of the Retreat under clause 5.2 and you are unable to attend as a result of the rescheduling or relocation of the Retreat.
5.5 We will not reimburse you for any travel or accommodation costs you personally occur relating to a cancelled, changed or rescheduled Retreat.
6. Your Right to Cancel
6.1 Our Retreats all involve accommodation, catering, visits, trips and business-related services and we hold them on specific dates. You may cancel a retreat at any time but would forfeit your deposit (unless you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period).
6.2 Cancellations received:
6.2.1 Before 90 days of the first date of the retreat, will receive a full refund of all fees (less the deposit or equivalent to the deposit if fees were paid in full)
6.2.2 Between days 61-90 days before the first date of the retreat, will receive 50% refund of the fees paid (less the deposit or equivalent to the deposit if fees were paid in full)
6.2.3 Between days 31-60 days before the first date of the retreat, will receive 25% refund of the fees paid (less the deposit or equivalent to the deposit if fees were paid in full)
6.2.4 Between days 1-30 days before the first date of the retreat, will receive 0% refund of the fees paid.
6.3 Cancellations must be received in writing by emailing retreat@ukeducators.com.
6.4 Our administrative hours are 09.00 – 17.30, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), notice received outside these hours will be treated as received on the next working day.
6.5 In certain circumstances we permit you to transfer your booking to friends and family members if:
6.5.1 You notify us in writing at least 30 days before the start of the Retreat;
6.5.2 You provide the name and contact details of the person who will be taking your place;
6.5.3 The person taking your place accepts the same accommodation in your original booking and fulfils the eligibility criteria as set out in clauses 2.1 and 2.2 above, and
6.5.4 A £25 administration fee is received for making that transfer.
6.6 Failure to attend a Retreat without prior notification of cancellation in writing and in accordance with the terms of the Cancellation Policy for the specific Retreat as stated in clause 6.1 & 6.2 or leaving during the Retreat will result in a loss of any monies paid.
6.7 We strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate travel insurance prior to placing a booking for any Retreat to cover you in the event that you cannot attend a Retreat for unforeseen reasons, for example due to bad weather, transport delays or cancellations, illness or bereavement. Some banks automatically provide you with travel insurance cover – please check with your relevant insurance services provider(s) before booking with us.
